WARSAW -- A woman IDed only as Anna J., whose four young sons were found dead in barrels of water outside her house, has given police no explanation for the boys' deaths.

The macabre killings have left a shocked community wondering why their neighbor might have killed her sons, aged 8, 7, 5 and 1.

Their father found the boys' bodies Sunday when he returned home from Mass. He called a doctor who pronounced the boys dead, and police found Anna hiding in the house.

Her only comment was, "I want to go to my children."

"The boys were good, smart, hard-working and well-groomed," neighbor Kazimierz Chylinski told a local newspaper. "She was heard to have said the kids would have it better in heaven. Nobody took it seriously."
