The notoriously bizarre Institute for Creation Research (sic) cult
routinely publishes equally bizarre religious notions which they wish to
pretend are some how scientific. This text file takes some of the cult's
own bizarre publications and takes a look at them in extract to show just
how nutty (verging on the insane) these "Modern Day Flat Earth
Society" nuts actually are.

Horribly, creationist cults actually go out in the world and try to get
other ignorant people to buy in to their deliberate and willful
ignorance. The only place this'll work is in places where people's
ignorance of science is so profound that if someone tells them that the
age of the Earth is less than 10,000 years, there's a chance they'll
be ignorant enough to believe it.
Case in point:

Translation: Here's a bunch of ignorants that'll swallow the crap we feed
them, the poor saps.
-- Begin quoted text in extract -=-
-=- End quoted text in extract
Which is perfect since they don't get cable television and can't watch
Nova. <smile> Seriously, they're perfect. Isolated from any source
of science education; no Internet access, doubtlessly few if any
libraries with science text books... No tools with which to disassemble
the idiot notions creationist cults step forward to feed them.
We'll skip past the "quaint little savage" condesention at this point
and see if we can get to the point where their charming way of life is
to be utterly destroyed by the invaiding Christian cult.
Ah, here we are:
-- Begin quoted text in extract -=-

As if the people didn't already have enough of their own to start with.
Amusingly the ICR cult describes a common enough result of trying to
hand people who already have gods and goddesses some new ones:

Why not? It's al the same. What's interesting is that here we have the
ICR cult reporting on how religions get created and change over time and
doubtlessly the idea that maybe -- just maybe -- Christianity started
exactly like this probably never even begind to cross what passes for
their minds these days.
The contemporary Christian mythologies are artifacts of all the cults
which came before with Mithra factoring in greatly thanks to the
influence of Paul/Saul, the Terrorist of Tarsus who was brought up in
the Mithratic cult. Here we see the ICR cult reporting on a modern
day creation of a modern day religion utterly failing to recognize that
they just described how their own cult formed.
Not wanting to leave their Christian gods and goddesses newly installed
among these Mexican indians, the creationist cult comes to the rescue!
Hurray!
-- Begin quoted text in extract -=-

Study the victim for a while to better smash them. The propaganda piece
continues to describe how the cult explained time and distance to the
savages, told them that the Earth is round, amazingly enough, in direct
contradiction to the Christian mythologies...
-- Begin quoted text in extract -=-
-=- End quoted text in extract
As if they didn't already know f the greatness and power of their own
gods and goddesses.
-- Begin quoted text in extract -=-

How morally reprehensible. How so very fucking evil. To deliberately
come in to a culture, study it for years with the deliberate intention of
destroying that culture, and then _boast_ about what they did... How so
mind-boggling _evil_. Good grief.
The propaganda piece continues to describe the destruction of this
people's religious ideologies, their religious identity, boasting. I
am sickened by the evil of this deliberate act.
-- Begin quoted text in extract -=-
-=- End quoted text in extract
Using their own existing religious notions against them, twisting their
ignorant minds to the point where they wind up believing in the bizarre
Creationist occultism of the invaiding sick perverts. Good grief. The
sickening piece ends with the horrible goals of this sick cult:
-- Begin quoted text in extract -=-
-=- End quoted text in extract
The systematic destruction of a culture's identity so that these poor
ignorant savages can play slave to deity constructs presented to them
by cultists who would keep them enslaved to their ignorance is just
far too disgusting for words. Other Christian religions -- real,
honest ones -- at least try to bring education and science to the "quaint
savages" of the world, bringing in sanitation, books, literacy et al.
Not the ICR cult, though. Nope, they came in targeting the identity
of these people and deliberately destroyed it.
These are the very people who want to get their brand of religious
occultism taught in the public schools as if it were scientific fact.

"Thank you for your permission however there's never any need
to.
The Tarahumara Indians of north-central Mexico present a
beautiful case for the power and validity of creation
evangelism in a cross-cultural setting.
This indigenous group lives high in the mountains of the
Sierra Madre at elevations of 6,000-8,000 feet.
When the Jesuit priests came preaching of God...
...The Tarahumara quickly incorporated these Biblical names,
creating a syncretism of paganism and Christianity. Soon
their sun god became Joseph, and the moon, Mary. Mary's
child, Jesus, became the first true Tarahumara. Today, the
witch doctors claim to cure by the power of the spirit of
Jesus.
Six years after moving in with the people, we were finally
ready to begin actual evangelism.
Throughout these sessions we kept exclaiming about
the greatness and power of God.
This led to the introduction of the Word of God.
As we went through the account of the Fall, they recognized
the story of evil entering into the world through the eating
of a forbidden fruit. What they hadn't heard of, were the
consequences of this act.
The systematic, unfolding revelation of God from Creation to
the Cross becomes a powerful tool for dispelling darkness and
leading men and women to the feet of Jesus.
Creationist propaganda is already self-debunking." --
