Their >>>LA> fossils show this. Golly: that's exactly what the evolutionary scientists, geologists, and palenotologists said we would observe, and opposite what Young Earth Creationists expected. >>DC> Gee, Laurie, just how did those mountains get to >>DC> be as much as 29,002 feet high? When the rain started, the mountains fled to high ground? >LA> That is a good question. What we DO know, of course, DC> Wait a moment as I get out my hip boots out to wade DC> through your bullshit. LOL! Now you owe *ME* the new keyboard! >LA> An evolutionist book says that India, moving slowly >LA> but monotonously from somewhere near the south pole, >LA> "rammed into Asia" about 40 million years ago and >LA> THAT is "what done it" Er, last I looked it is a northward-moving plate doing the "ramming." DC> Tough luck, stupid. The evidence shows that the event DC> is continuing today and had done so in the past, far DC> further than the 6,000 yrs you allow for the process. India is vanishing at roughly six inches a year, raising the Himalaya Mountains (and incidently northern India, southern Tibet, Nepal, Sikkim, Kashmir, and Bhutan) at a rate fast enough to observe (i.e. measure) over a 24-hour period. But then, Liarton doesn't "believe" in plate tectonics because it's not biblical.... These types of mountains can last a billion years. The average life-span of a volcanic mountain (on Earth) is ten million years, according to Carl Sagan in "Pale Blue Dot." Weathering, dissolution, abrasion, corrosion, and transportation takes their toll. Without plate tectonics, Earth would be rather flater than it is now. Liarton only believes in the erosion process, and ignores the building processes. But then, his cult has ordered him to remain stupid and ignorant, or go to Hell. ... Either that, or Wilbur is real close to her turkey baster. -- DW * Shy.David@EdenBBS.com * Origin: "She blinded me with science!" (1:124/9005)
