DG> Tell me, David, what does ice turn to when it's DG> heated? Is it not WATER? Very good Darryl, Darryl, and your other brother Darryl. You forget a few facts: 1) there isn't enough water in the hydrosphere for a "global flood." "Hydrosphere" includes water in rocks, planets, animals, rivers, lakes, streams, aquafers, atmosphere, ice caps. 2) there is no geological evidence for this "global flood" you posit. 3) melting the polar ice caps would require a massive amount of heat. 4) ice cores show that the ice caps have been in place for millions of years. 5) water volume is less than ice volume. Unless you are positing a GLOBAL "ice age," (which would be just as foolish as your other posits), melting ice would cover less land than the ice. 6) If the ice caps were to magically melt, AMSL would rise roughly 20 feet globally. That would cover many island states, destroy costal communities, and leave 80% of the land mass untouched. 7) geology shows that Earth is nearly the same today as it was a million years ago. Just when was this magic flood supposed to have occured? ... What you forget is that no one has a right to live. -- Ken Wiens * Shy.David@EdenBBS.com * Origin: "She blinded me with science!"
