Greetings, Mr. Sugg.
One of the more unsavory events I observed in Clearwater,
Florida, on December 5'th, 1998, was two people getting
thrown out of the Scientology store called the "One Stoppe
Shoppe." The person running the store that day asked Mr.
Robert Minton if he was a Scientologist. When he answered
that he was not, he and Mr. David Rice who was with him
were physically hustled out of the store, given the bum's
rush.
I suppose the amusing fact that Mr. Minton, waving a fist
full of money and saying, "I've got over three hundred dollars
here! How _could_ I be a Scientologist?" didn't endear the
guy to the Scientology shop's owner. Still, throwing non-
Scientologists out of shops seems like a pretty ugly thing
to do.
I managed to acquire some photographs of the incident. If
your office is interested, let me know and I can e-mail you
the JPG files or I can run-off a copy and mail it to your
office.
Oh: I also have a JPG of Kirsty Alley giving the finger to
a reporter which you might like. It's likely copyrighted
but I would expect the agency which took the photograph
would get a kick out of having it further disseminated since
it's rather amusing.
