This is the funniest thing I've seen written here. What are
all of the scientologists doing here, if not advertising their
merchandise?
i thought the scientologists were discussing scientology... funny
that... discussions of scientology in alt.religion.scientology.
from what i've seen this group contains somewhat rational discussions
about scientology, both pro and con.
the only major detractors i have seen are the splinter groups trying
to sell their product. the scientologists i have seen make
suggestions as to where you should go, but it can no more be seen as
scientology selling itself than it would be if i were to go onto
misc.comp (or whatever) and say that i thought that NeXTs were some of
the coolest machines i've ever seen...
the difference between the splinter groups and the scientologists are
similar to the difference between me as a private dealer of computer X
(an ibm knock-off) going on and saying "i'll sell you this neato
whiz-bang computer for less than ibm", and me as a private citizen
saying "i think if you're gonna buy an ibm type computer you should
buy the real thing."
