   Yes faulty logic.  The Church wants people who intend to finish what
   they start and the high price of time and money weeds out the
   "hobbiest".  If the Church just wanted money they would charge less
   and get more students and then not worry if they never came back.
   That technique is easy to see at your local health spa (or maybe even
   college).  Many recruits, few completions, mucho bucks.

well... no.  see the same people that have the money for the high fees
are going to have money to attend more classes.

or do you really think it's impossible to find anyone interested in
the material that can't pay the fees?  i bet i could find a number
right where you are...  in fact when i was at usc i had little money,
but would have been interested in scientology.

   Any institution needs money to operate so of course they are going to
   be "worried" about fund raising.  Why is it your University doesn't
   bring in homeless people, put them up in the dorms and educate them to
   get better employment.  You can't expect any organization to do that
   to any great extent and stay solvent.  I'm not talking about grants,
   scholarships etc.

so why don't you consider grants and scholarships?  usc, for example,
has one 'scholarship' which they will use to try and get any student
in that couldn't otherwise afford it.  it is variable in amount, and
comes from the school, and is not based on grades.

universities, especially private ones, need money for day to day
operation.  you aren't going to find a university paying a full time
staff member to work 40++ hours a week for pocket change.

   By the way, most Scientologists are not rich.  We work for a living.

no.  i imagine it would be hard to be rich while paying someone lots
of money for classes and auditing.

   How about you or are you still living off of daddy?

a) i find it reprehensible that you would stoop to a personal attack.
i would hope that this does not reflect on your scientology
background.

b) i have been on my own (paying all my own bills including classes at
usc) since i was 17.  and before that i was working 3 jobs to pay for
a number of my expenses as well as school.

c) i have NEVER lived off of daddy.

can you claim the last two?
