>THE CREED OF THE CHURCH OF SCIENTOLOGY

This should be fun.

>We of the Church believe:

>That all men of whatever race, colour or creed were created with >equal rights.

Which is of course why Hubbard said that black people were of insufficient intelligence to benefit from Scientology, and that they probably wouldn't even register on an E-meter. (Public statement by LRH in Rhodesia) Ever wonder why Scientology is almost pure white?

The truth: LRH was a sexist bigot. Very sexist, very bigot.

>That all men have inalienable rights to thier own religious practices >and their performance.

So long as these practices are Scientology.

>That all men have inalienable rights to thier own lives.

So long as their lives serve to make Scientology richer.

>That all men have inalienable rights to thier own sanity.

Which is, of course, why so many Scientologists are insane.

>That all men have inalienable rights to thier own defense.

Curiously contentless statement.

>That all men have inalienable rights to conceive, choose, assist and >support their own organizations, churches and governments.

So long as those organizations, churches, and governments are Scientology or Scientology-approved.

>That all men have inalienable rights to think freely, to talk freely, >to write freely their own opinions and to counter or utter or write >upon the opinions of others.

Which is why Ethics officers are so damn curious what opinions you happen to be expressing at the moment. Explains why Ethics officers read your mail, prevent you from talking to outsiders, etc.

>That all men have inalienable rights to the creation of their own >kind. That the souls of men have the rights of men.

Hubbard did practice sex magic. Both he and one of his minions (McMasters, I think) engaged in ritual rapes at least once.

>That the study of the mind and the healing of mentally caused ills >should not be alienated from religion or condoned in non-religious >fields.

Convenient way to condemn those who feel otherwise.

>And that no agency less than God has the power to suspend or set >aside these rights, overty or covertly.

LRH must equal God, since he regularily set aside these rights, through the GO and his Ethics Officers. -- "I'm Tom Bodett for Motel 6. We'll leave the maid out for ya." -- Sean Patrick Ryan (fsspr@acad3.alaska.edu)
