Since some of the materials which describe the $cientology cult could be
considered to be copywritten materials, I have censored myself and The
Skeptic Tank by deleting any and all possible text files which describes
the cult's hidden mythologies.  I have elected to quote just a bit of the

Don Purcell had sheltered and succoured Elron Phattso when, in 1951, the 
Dianetics movement was starting to implode; subsequently, he discovered the 
extent of Phatty's lies about the state of the accounts and began to realize 
that he was being cheated out of a fortune. As a co-trustee and principal 
creditor of the Hubbard Dianetic Foundation of Wichita, he claimed the assets 
of that outfit, including the lecture tapes and rights to the books -- even the 
right to the name "Dianetics" itself.

On or around May 1, 1953, Phattso wrote of his erstwhile benefactor:

"The obvious intention of Purcell is to attack and wipe out by public odium 
anything and everything he can in Dianetics, thus leaving him, he thinks, with 
a monopoly on the subject. Sooner or later it is quite obvious that this man 
... who is probably the most hated man in the city of Wichita because of his 
business dealings, will run up against someone insane enough to put a bullet 
through him... Patently the man is insane. He has actively refused processing 
many times. He's about as safe to have around as a mad dog... The only 
surprising part of all this is that the American public by their attemtion to 
Purcell and what he says, demonstrates their complete incompetence and their 
desire to be swindled."

So, either the Woodies have become infested with clusters from Phatty, or 
something else has been going on. Perhaps they have a course in how best to 
traduce someone's reputation, or maybe they have a manual of how Phatty 
denounced others, from which they select a choice phrase or two that almost 
seems to fit. 

Whatever the explanation, the Borg-like imitation of their Source is really 
most uncanny.
