Since some of the materials which describe the $cientology cult could be considered to be copywritten materials, I have censored myself and The Skeptic Tank by deleting any and all possible text files which describes the cult's hidden mythologies. I have elected to quote just a bit of the questionable text according to the "Fair Use" legal findings afforded to those who report. - Fredric L. It would be my guess that you, whoever you are, are doing as much damage to the cult as everyone else on ARS combined. When I joined Scientology some years ago, all I knew about it was what I read in the Dianetics book, and from that standpoint, it could easily appear reasonable, intelligent, even scientific. If I had known then about what was on the top secret OT levels, Xenu and body thetans and Gorilla Goals and all, I doubt I would have ever gotten into it. But now, thanks to SCAMIZDAT, everyone on the net can read about the highest level secrets of Scientology, and see what sci-fi bullshit they are. And the genie can't be put back in the bottle. The cult can sue a few individuals, but what will they do now that thousands of people, no doubt, have archived SCAMIZDAT to disk? Even if all the original posters of the OT material are found and prosecuted, any one of a thousand people could step in to take their place. And here's a personal note to high level cult officials who are, no doubt, reading this. You yourselves, through your inept bumbling, are responsible for having all your precious secret OT material be spammed all over the net. You attacked Dennis Erlich and raided his home, which enraged the usenet community. This brought thousands of new readers to ARS, one of who has gotten angry enough to collect and post your formerly trade secret scriptures. And it's just going to get worse. The more you attack, the more angry the usenet community will get, and the worse things will get for you. How long will it be before every word of the OT levels has been posted to the net? How long before the average person, upon hearing Scientology mentioned, immediately thinks of Xenu and body thetans exorcism? Is there some possible way you could stop this? Is there another way to handle a problem besides blindly attacking? Anyway, thanks again to you, SCAMIZDAT publisher. Another big win for ARS! Stark
