Since some of the materials which describe the $cientology cult could be
considered to be copywritten materials, I have censored myself and The
Skeptic Tank by deleting any and all possible text files which describes
the cult's hidden mythologies. I have elected to quote just a bit of the
questionable text according to the "Fair Use" legal findings afforded to
those who report. - Fredric L. Rice, The Skeptic Tank, 09/Sep/95

Sure it's still in place. Videoing of "pastoral counselling" is part of
standard routine these days in many places (definitely Flag). And no, they
don't tell you. But guess what, you can see the cameras easily ("Look at
that celing! Thank you.") -> Alas, no scieno would object to it, being a
true believer in clam honesty.
(When I did internships I had to tape-record my auditing sessions and later
compare how I sound and how LRH sounded. Lots of Mini-Elrons were made
that way.)
Also, ElRon's policy to bug the offices of sales people is still in force.
After all this is an important tool so tag-team techniques as outlined by
the late Les Dane in his Big League Sales Closing Techniques can be done. I
happened to overhear this system working one fine day at Flag when I was
grilled for another 15k. The microphones are NOT visible and should not be,
as ElRon clearly instructed way back in 1974: Step 39 of LRH ED 236 INT, 5
July 1974 (Registration Program No. 2):
"39. Have an electronic system installed in the org with a mike that looks
like a calendar or ornament on the Reg's desk and a listen-in switchboard
in the ED's office so he can overhear at any time any interview in
progress. Have a tape recorder that can plug in to the box and tape any
interview. This is a duplicate of the listen-in system that cured bad
auditing in DC before C/Ses existed."
This ED today is part of the "scriptures" of scientology, to be found in
new OEC volume II, page 574. Real religious stuff indeed!
