that's the idea. the stupid thing is that now everyone's going
to cover the lawsuit against the washington post. you can't
cover up a news story by suing the damn paper, because CULT
SUES WASHINGTON POST in a 24-point font will guarantee that
they'll go into _why_ they're suing the Washington Post, and
there's no way the cult can sue for other papers reporting
what Washington Post said to get sued. and now they've dragged
in the WP's legal team, who spend their lives plotting and
waiting for cases like this and have been cooking up defense
plans for years. they're simultaneously attacking everything
in sight, fighting the Washington Post, dragging someone who
they owe practically five million to into court on a totally
bogus charge, raiding a library--always good PR--attacking
the net, becoming the ACLU's number-one free-speech priority,
making so much noise that people are going to go to Arnie
and Dennis and Larry any time they need a sound-bite.
yow. i was despairing of this wretched war ever ending,
and thinking it would turn into some deadly slow battle of
attrition and mudslinging forever, like say talk.abortion,
and instead they're almost immediately obliging us by
going flat-out raving loony within months of Operation
OSA Freak-Out. all thanks to them suing dennis and
attacking ars back when it was a molehill. now it's
a mountain in the sky coming down at terminal velocity
straight toward 'em.
