Forgive me if this question has already been gone over, but the only
discussion I've seen of Co$' motives in outing and ruining henry
utterly has suggested that they were offended by his artful invective.
But if memory serves, henry had contacted an FBI agent who specializes
in computer crime just within weeks before Gene Ingram visited his
home town. He was in touch with the agent about the Cancelbunny, and
said that they had shown interest in the case and were maintaining
contact with him.
Was henry thus beginning to inflict real damage to Co$ above and beyond
his literate and highly entertaining rants? Is that why they went after
him? Think about it: it's quite possible that Co$ really has something
to hide with the Cancelbunny, and an FBI investigation might have opened
the door to unravelling a larger conspiracy. Capricorn has indicated that
there is an "ARS unit" or something like that in OSA, and if so, the Bunny
was probably under its direction. If the "ARS unit" exists, what skeletons
does it have in its closet? Ingram himself is probably in a lot of
trouble if the "ARS unit" can be penetrated.
Ingram might have very effectively discredited henry as an informant for
computer crimes investigators: he's accused of posting a bomb threat,
was fired for "inappropriate posting", and allegedly has a record of
illegal hacking. If the FBI has stopped trusting him for these reasons,
and if no one else has taken up contact with them, then Co$'s may have
made a brilliant (but sinister) move in avoiding a large risk.
Henry was posting the FBI agent's name, address, phone and fax numbers
in his .sigs, and like a clod I didn't save them. (I seem to recall the
name Hugh McLean.) Did anyone save them? Does anyone know if the Cancel-
bunny is still being investigated?
BTW, I noticed something in the post from Vera Wallace (cleverly forwarded
through Woody, perhaps for deniability) just after henry was busted that
law enforcement should also take note of. About the alleged bomb threat:
>The Church is very sensitive to such threats due to an actual bombing
>of one of its buildings which took place approximately 11 years ago.
>They apparently directed Gene Ingram to locate Hanry and determine if
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
>he was the one who made the bomb threat.
Here is a clear statement indicating contact between the Church <retch!>
and a fugitive sought on felony charges (although she cleverly hedges with
the word "apparently"). Wouldn't Federal or state authorities be interested
in questioning Ms. Wallace as to what made her think this was the case?
Who precisely are the law enforcement agents looking for Mr. Ingram?
How doe one get in touch with them? (Grady, do you know?)
Enthetically yours,
Carlos
