Subject: CofS'ists: Freedom to choose groups
Dear Church of Scientologists,
In my effort to sort out differences, I've run into some more conflicts of
data in the CofS (church of Scientology).
So please tell me how the Scientology Church Creed reconciles with the HIGH
CRIMES listed in the "Introduction to Scientology Ethics" book.
The Church Creed says ...
"That all men have inalieanable rights to conceive, choose, assist or
support their own organizations, churches, and governments."
"That all men have inalienable rights to their own religious practices and
their performance."
These above beautiful ideas of free people run smack into the "HIGH CRIMES"
in the ethics book which follow ...
1) "Continued membership in a divergent group."
2) "Continued adherence to a person or group pronounced a suppressive person
or group by HCO" (HCO is the ethics division in the Church of Scientology
organization.)
3) "Failure to handle or DISAVOW and DISCONNECT from a person demonstrably
guilty of suppressive acts."
4) "Being at the hire of anti-Scientology groups or persons."
So again, compare the church creed of "That all men have inalieanable rights
to conceive, choose, assist or support their own organizations, churches,
and governments."
to ...
the HIGH CRIME of "Continued membership in a divergent group."
This is an obvious problem. It's Intention against Counter-Intention. So I'd
really appreciate if you can tell me how these opposing ideas can co-exist
peacefully.
Thanks! I'll be awaiting an honest answer from any Scientologist who is a
member of or staff of the Church of Scientology.
Yours for aligned data,
Safe, an authentic, informed NON-CofS Scientologist
