Notice: Fredric Rice may have removed segments of the replies given to
questions if they contained copoyrighted materials. After a very short
while, Scientology "experts" refused to answer questions and
started cut-and-pasting copyrighted cult propaganda. Additionally I
removed URLs in some of the replies, and left them in others. And it's
also important to note that eventually the unfortunate "Greg
Churilov" cultist was ejected from
askme.com for his typical Scientological behavior.
michelekramer asked himself this question on 4/23/2000:
Desertphiles, I was browsing through the Scientology link and
noticed the "feature question of the day" -
"What could L. Ron Hubbard tell you that you wouldn't believe if
he were alive today?"
I read your answer. Then I was curious as to your very short, one
word answer (and why it got a five in rating when you didn't even
specify a real answer). So I decided to click on your name to find
out what makes you an expert in Scientology. And I am perplexed as
to why, if you wouldn't "believe anything", waste your time with
all of it, studying it, and even having a whole website on Scientology.
To me this doesn't make sense. Why would someone continue to put
forth their precious time and efforts into something they don't
"believe"? Maybe you should take a look at that. Why not put forth
your time in something you might really enjoy doing, something that
will fill your time, that will make you happy unless wasting your
time on something that you don't like, does make you happy).
Greg Churilov gave himself this response on 4/23/2000:
Well put, Michele. Although from all the self-proclaimed "experts"
out here, Desertphile at least tends to attempt a little truth and
objectivity... It is strange that someone would claim to be an
expert on something he does not like nor believe in nor follow or
study.
I personally don't like broccoli or brussel sprouts; but I doubt
that makes me an expert on veggies... :-) best,

[Golly, that's a tough one, huh? I guess Scientologists have difficulty
understanding the motivations of good people exposing the criminal actions
and ideals of criminal organizations. The fact that the Scientology cult
hurts people, has killed unknown numbers of people, and continues to rook
the ignorant and gullible out of ever last dime doesn't seem to be a
good enough reason to try to keep the crooks from hurting people, it looks
like - flr]
[What a profoundly insane answer. Very few "veggies" deliberately
set out to hurt, kill, brainwash, and extort every last penny out of as many
people as they can get their hands on - flr]
