Notice: Fredric Rice may have removed segments of the replies given to
questions if they contained copoyrighted materials. After a very short
while, Scientology "experts" refused to answer questions and
started cut-and-pasting copyrighted cult propaganda. Additionally I
removed URLs in some of the replies, and left them in others. And it's
also important to note that eventually the unfortunate "Greg
Churilov" cultist was ejected from
askme.com for his typical Scientological behavior.
Anonymous asked this question on 4/18/2000:
What is a Field Staff Member?
Greg Churilov gave this lie on 4/20/2000:
An FSM (field staff member) is a title bestowed on any Scientologist
who takes it upon himself to educate others on Scientology. It is a
volunteer activity, and something I do for personal satisfaction.
I find that I often can save a marriage, rescue a child's education
and I have even prevented a friend from turning to drugs. These things
are done in the spirit of good works, common in other Religions as
well.
My perss to help others overcome life's challenges, to enlighten
people about what Scientology is about, and if they are interested
in pursuing Scientology to act in a mentor capacity to them.
It is basically being a friend.
The Church rewards these efforts by ocassionally offering scholarships
based on good works, by rewarding FSMs for courses taken by their
selectees, and by recognizing them at events.
Grass roots efforts of a similar nature are conducted by the Baptist
Church, the Catholic Church and several other denominations. best, Spirit
Anonymous asked this follow-up question on 4/20/2000:
I've heard you don't just get a "reward", but a fixed
percentage - that's not something I've ever heard of Xian churches
doing
Greg Churilov gave this lie on 4/21/2000:
I am now questioning your motives.
Here is my answer to your question: a) Scientology does a LOT of things
that "Xian" Churches do not do.
Including providing the only actual workable solution to Man's spiritual
troubles. b) Yes, there is a standard 15% commission on books sold. I
personally am not big on booksales, not being a sales type. So in my
personal case I have not received any financial compensation for my or
so. Not that I would feel anything but pride if I received compensation
for my efforts from my local Church. c) Why do you insist on making
money such an evil thing? What misdeeds have you commited with money?

Anonymous then asked this follow-up question on 4/21/2000:
Questioning my motives? Accusing me of misdeeds? I'm just curious,
that's all. Why are *you* so defensive? If this is the outcome of
the "only workable solution" then I'm afraid I'm not impressed.
Greg Churilov once again declined to answer questions on 4/23/2000:
There is a small bunch of anti-scientologists attacking the experts
of this board. It seems to me you are one of these geeks. I do not
seek to convince you of anything. I am simply here to educate people
about Scientology, not to debate with a bigot. Spirit

Subject: What is a Field Staff Member?
[And that's utter nonsense. A "FSM" in the jargon of this criminal
cult is someone who tries to sucker other happless victims into the criminal
cult. Some of these people actually believe the nonsense they're told to
try to sell to -- what the cult calls -- "raw meat." Most, it
would appear, are just in it for a percentage of the take - flr]
[And the cultist doesn't mention the fact that Scientology orders family
members to "disconnect" from their families when someone on the
family saying anything truthful about the criminal cult. And this
cultist also doesn't mention the fact that the crooks will order their
GO/OSA followers to have abortions because their mad messiah considers
children to be "downstat" because they can't bring in any money
for his numbered bank accounts - flr]
[And that's an insane lie. The Scientology cult will pretend to befriend
"raw meat" to sucker them into the scam and then after they get
every last dime that the happless victim can beg, borrow, and steal, the
cultist is done with them - flr]
[And that's utterly insane. This is a criminal organization that does
not "reward scholarships" to any real educational
facility. According to their mad messiah Hubbard, to do so would be
"downstat" since it does nothing to increase revenues -- and
hense his numbered bank accounts - flr]
[How insane. This cultist is trying to equate the Scientology crime
syndicate with the Catholic Church and the Baptist Convention. How
utterly insane - flr]
[Notice how the cultist changes from "basically being a friend"
to an insane, paranoid nut with something to hide? - flr]
[<laughing> Amusingly enough, the cultist finally told a truth - flr]
[That's one of the programmed responses that the crime syndicate's ringleaders
program into the people who cut themselves in for a percentage of the take.
The programed response is nearly identicle every time one of these cultists
are asked about the cut of the take. "Why is making money an evil
thing?" And in fact Hubbard's own internal policies, seized in the
numerous raids of the 1970's, show that the primary goal of Scientology is
to "Make money. Make more money. Help others so as they can make
money." It's all about money - flr]
[There's that insane cop-out once again. Pretend that the people asking
him questions aren't really interested in the answers and the cultist can
pretend he doesn't have to answer them - flr]
