Notice: Fredric Rice may have removed segments of the replies given to
questions if they contained copoyrighted materials. After a very short
while, Scientology "experts" refused to answer questions and
started cut-and-pasting copyrighted cult propaganda. Additionally I
removed URLs in some of the replies, and left them in others. And it's
also important to note that eventually the unfortunate "Greg
Churilov" cultist was ejected from
askme.com for his typical Scientological behavior.
Anonymous asked this question on 4/19/2000:
Is it true that religious documents of your Church written by L.
Ron Hubbard claim that a galactic overlord called Xenu brought people
from all over the galaxy to Earth 75 million years ago and killed
them with hydrogen bombs?
If so, was this meant to be taken literally, was it an allegory,
or what?
Greg Churilov gave this insane lie on 4/19/2000:
I have been a Scientologist for over 18 years. As such, I have taken
numerous self-betterment and spiritual improvement courses. I have
also taken a lot of spiritual one-on-one counseling. In all my years
as a Scientologist, I have NEVER encountered any of these ridiculous
stories anywhere except in the websites of people who seek to defamate
my Church.
L.Ron Hubbard gave thousands of lectures and in many of them he used
humor, a a point of entertain his audience. Many of his lectures were
extremely technical and he always tried to keep the audience's
interest by engaging them at a personal level.
One can ALWAYS sift through a celebrity's speeches and lectures and
find something which taken out of context will sound bizarre.
Scientology is not about UFOs. It is about spiritual improvement,
about enhancing your relationship with your family, yourself and all of
Life.

Subject: UFO beliefs
[After 18 years the guy still hasn't been able to afford the purchase of
OT3. Either that or he's trying to bluff his way out of having to admit
that flying saucers, Xenu, body thetans, and all of OT3 is not what
Scientology is really all about - flr]
[Interesting defense mechanism, I suppose. Perhaps he is finally starting
to twigg to the fact that OT3 is really everything real experts say it is
and he's setting himself up to try to convince himself it was one of
Hubbard's many "jokes" -- flr]
[Except that OT3 is a fraud and a bait-and-switch bunko scam that the
crooks sell to their ignorant and gullible brainwashed victims - flr]
[One has to wonder whether he's going to make sure he never purchased
OT3. If he does, he'll know that his cult leaders have been lying to
him and I would suspect that he already fears that's just what they've
been doing to him all along - flr]
