Notice: Fredric Rice may have removed segments of the replies given to
questions if they contained copoyrighted materials. After a very short
while, Scientology "experts" refused to answer questions and
started cut-and-pasting copyrighted cult propaganda. Additionally I
removed URLs in some of the replies, and left them in others. And it's
also important to note that eventually the unfortunate "Greg
Churilov" cultist was ejected from
askme.com for his typical Scientological behavior.
FredricRice asked this question on 4/25/2000:
The "spirit" individual passing himself off as an expert on
Scientology declined to address these questions and issues about how the
Church of Scientology's policies exhibit homophobic hatred. Are there any
other experts on Scientology who could address these Policies so that the
individual who asked the question gets an honest answer?
Knowing that the Scientology cult has policies about trying to
"cure" homosexuals of their homosexuality seems to be an issue
that this guy doesn't want people to hear about.
My question is: What's Hubbard's _real_ policy on homosexuality? I've
got HCOPL's from the middle 1970's... Does anyone else have something
more current?
-=- "Spirit" was asked:
What is the scientologist's view on homosexuals? I was thinking about
joining but I am hesitant because of this.
Greg Churilov gave this incorrect answer on 4/24/2000:
The Church has a policy described in a Policy Letter called "2D rules
(2D is a reference to the Second Dynamic of Life, which is sex and the
family). In this Policy, L.Ron Hubbard states clearly that it is not
the business of the Church to look into people's bedrooms and dictate
their sexual conduct.

Why did you lie again? What about your cult's ringleader Keneth Moxon
and what [about what] he tried to do to Graham Berry? What about the TRs
and "auditing" brainwashing sessions that John Travolta signed
up for to try to "cure" him of his homosexuality? What about the
"sec check" that has the Scientology cult _specifically_ trying
to find homosexuals in the cult so that the fact of their homosexuality
can be added to their "pre clear" folders and used against them
for extortion and blackmail when they escape the cult?
Surely you're not going to deny Source again
(
http://www.sky.net/~sloth/sci/homo.sec.check.html) and demand that
Hubbard never wrote these "sec check" questions which exhibit
his insane homophobia, are you?
And yes, I know you're not allowed to answer such questions. When you
get out, might I suggest you contact the Lisa McPherson Trust for help?
desertphile gave this response on 4/25/2000:
You are again being abrasive. Instead of asking a question, you made
a political speech. Did you have a specific question concerning
homosexuality and Scientology?
Hubbard taught that sexuality (2D stuff) was an "aberation."
Since that is not only false but bad public relations material, the Church
of Scientology does not boast of their "cures" for homosexuality,
nor their teaching that it is an "aberation." [M] Scientology to
"cure" their homosexuality: there is even a law suit going on by
a homosexual who was promised to be "cured" by the Church but was
not.
Homosexuality is not something that can be "cured," because it
is not an illness.
