Notice: Fredric Rice may have removed segments of the replies given to
questions if they contained copyrighted materials. After a very short
while, Scientology "experts" refused to answer questions and
started cut-and-pasting copyrighted cult propaganda. Additionally I
removed URLs in some of the replies, and left them in others. And it's
also important to note that eventually the unfortunate "Greg
Churilov" cultist was ejected from
askme.com for his typical Scientological behavior.
Subject: Ron's war record
Raptavio asked this question on 5/1/2000:
I was curious about what L. Ron Hubbard's true war record is. It seems fairly
impressive on the Scientology web sites but I've heard claims that the
service records available from the Navy don't reflect this information. Do you
know anyone who's taken a look on what the Navy really has in Mr.
Hubbard's service record?
Greg Churilov gave this response on 5/2/2000:
Yes, I have. In fact, the irnoy is that I found the documents about his
war record in a supposedly unfriendly site.
Ron served in the South Pacific, in a sub-chaser off the Coast of Oregon,
and as an intelligence officer in Indonesia.
What the cultist also doesn't mention is that the Scientology cult still
makes all kind of insane claims about their mad messiah which are 100%
completely at odds with the Navy's records -- and for obvious reasons: The
Hubbard that served in the Navy is a massive embarrassment to the cult.
It's no wonder they feel the need to tell amazing whoppers about their
mad messiah.
A good coverage of the cult's messiah's war record can be found at
http://www.ronthewarhero.org/.
He made some friends and some enemies (in usual Ron style).
He got some medals.
In fact the records show that he received three or four; medals that were
handed to every active officer or enlisted man who served at the time.
Even more embarrassing, the criminal cult programs their followers to
believe that Hubbard was crippled and blinded by an unexploded shell that
landed on the deck of his ship which, brave fellow that he was, Hubbard
tried to pick up and throw over the side to save his fellow crew members.
Such ius the level of L. Ron Hubbard's insane bravado: He never got the
Purple Heart for any of these self-claimed injuries. Worse: Hubbard never
saw enemy action. There never were any enemy shells, exploded or
otherwise - flr]
He got badly wounded and recovered in Oak Knoll Navy Hospital.
What the Church has been saying all along turns out, (suprise!), to be
true.

Really? What 'unfriendly' site?

[What the cultist doesn't mention is that his mad messiah's war record
describes a man who was grossly inept, expended war munitions trying to
sink magnetic rock formations, fired on Mexican teritory, and lied about
his accomplishments like a pathological nut.
[What the cultist doesn't mention is that his cult leaders force their
remaining followers to believe that their mad messiah earned a broad range
of medals, at times claiming either 21 or 22 medals.
[See? These cultists are still fed this lie and, like any
programmed robotic cultist, unthinkingly mouth off their master's lies - flr]
[About the only thing that the Scientology cult says about their mad
messiah's war record that's remotely true is that Hubbard was in the Navy - flr]
