Notice: Fredric Rice may have removed segments of the replies given to
questions if they contained copyrighted materials. After a very short
while, Scientology "experts" refused to answer questions and
started cut-and-pasting copyrighted cult propaganda. Additionally I
removed URLs in some of the replies, and left them in others. And it's
also important to note that eventually the unfortunate "Greg
Churilov" cultist was ejected from
askme.com for his typical Scientological behavior.
Subject: Hi spirit!
Anonymous asked this question on 4/27/2000:
Why do you pay to practice Scientology, when so much information is
available in the freezone?
In other words, why pay prescription drug prices when you can buy generic
drugs for a fraction of the cost?
Thanks.
Greg Churilov gave this response on 4/28/2000:
Because Freezone is a cooky attempt by unethical persons who were
thrown out of the Church of Scientology to deliver counterfeit Scientology
at a cut-rate standard. Because you have no structure, no
ethos, and no discipline.
Because you prey on people who have found in Scientology the spiritual
answers they were seeking all their lives, and by turning them from it
you commit a grave sin.

Anonymous asked this follow-up question on 5/1/2000:
Be careful where you point that accusation, "Greg." I have plenty of
structure, more ethics than "the most ethical group on the planet," and
more self-discipline than anyone YOU can name.
I don't prey on anyone. People come to me to ask questions, which I freely
answer. If they are helped by what I offer, I feel fulfilled.
Scientology has no "spiritual" answers because Scientology is not
a religion.
The simple fact of the matter is that Scientology is all about money, has
been, and always will be. You, "spirit," are a little cog in a big, impersonal
wheel squeezing people like grapes for every cent at their disposal. How
does that make you feel?
I might be able to see some redeeming feature in Scientology if it weren't
so obvious that money is what the cult worships. That's why I don't
understand why more Scientologists don't support the freezone. I was
hoping you would answer this question, but you decided to bare your fangs
and attack instead. By the way, all those accusations make you sound a
little paranoid. What makes you suspect I'm in the freezone?
best,
Greg Churilov gave this paranoid response on 5/2/2000:
I assume you're in the Freezone because you're selling it, silly.
And you do prey on disaffected Scientologists and the unsuspecting new
public.
I personally had to rescue a friend from one of you people.
And as far as discipline, is smoking and drinking in session a sign of
discipline?
Is auditing in a well-traveled living room a sign of technical standards?
Is bad-mouthing the very thing you poorly imitate a sign of ethics?
Give me a break.
