Notice: Fredric Rice may have removed segments of the replies given to
questions if they contained copyrighted materials. After a very short
while, Scientology "experts" refused to answer questions and
started cut-and-pasting copyrighted cult propaganda. Additionally I
removed URLs in some of the replies, and left them in others. And it's
also important to note that eventually the unfortunate "Greg
Churilov" cultist was ejected from
askme.com for his typical Scientological behavior.
Subject: Scientology sounds pretty hateful
FredricRice asked this question on 5/3/2000:
I've asked quite a few questions of the Scientology experts here at
AskMe.COM. Out of the good answers I've received from desertphile and
honorarykid, I've also received a _lot_ hatred from the Scientologists who
are inside of the organization.
What's interesting is that asking Scientologists questions about Scientology
results in such hatred, anger, and resentment. But what's more, rather than
answer the questions, the Scientologists have attacked me personally,
claiming I'm a pedophile and have had sex with dogs. And this is from
Scientology's representitive spokespeople, no less.
Is there a policy or something that dictates these hate-filled responses that
I've been getting from the Scientologists?
barb131 gave this response on 5/4/2000:
You got in in one, Fredric. Hubbard told his followers to attack, never
defend. Since these rude scientologists
have no real dirt on you, they hint at some sort of unpleasant past you
may be concealing, such as sexing up poodles.
I've been the subject of allusion as well; the Spirit entity suggested I am
the sort of person who would spark another Waco. Hardly!
While Scientologists yammer about how much they've been "improved"
by scientology, I can't help but think what sorry scraps of hominid they
must've been before joining!
For example, if you engage them in any sort of communication, the field
scientologists are supposed to be absolutely superior, you quickly realise
you're dealing with grade school tactics.
They start out fairly pleasant, but are very thin skinned. Gradually, as
you ask hard questions, they start to squall, until at the end, they're
reduced to name calling. I've seen this pattern over and over.
At the very last, they'll say, "I have more important things to do," or
something along those lines, and refuse to communicate with you
further.
You know, they pay large sums of money to acquire such feeble skills.
I'm sure in many cases it's actually a step backward for them.
I hope at least some people who become interested in Scientology can
read these messages here by Scientologists, and decide not to join
because of their ambassador's pathetic communication and spelling
skills.
FredricRice rated this answer a 5.
[Good] grief. That's amazing. I didn't know that you were responsible for
"sparking another WACO." <smile> That's just absolutely amazing.
So there's policies that drive Scientologists to manufacture this "dirt," is
there? Yes, since they can't answer the questions I had asked of them, the
only recourse was to apply Hubbard's policy and, as desertphile said, "apply
TR-L" and various other insane policies.
And yeah, they certainly don't seem to be very improved by Scientology,
huh?
