Notice: Fredric Rice may have removed segments of the replies given to
questions if they contained copyrighted materials. After a very short
while, Scientology "experts" refused to answer questions and
started cut-and-pasting copyrighted cult propaganda. Additionally I
removed URLs in some of the replies, and left them in others. And it's
also important to note that eventually the unfortunate "Greg
Churilov" cultist was ejected from
askme.com for his typical Scientological behavior.
Subject: Scientology hostility and hatred
FredricRice asked this question on 5/3/2000:
I've asked quite a few questions of the Scientology experts here at
AskMe.COM. Out of the good answers I've received from desertphile and
honorarykid, I've also received a _lot_ hatred from the Scientologists who
are inside of the organization.
What's interesting is that asking Scientologists questions about Scientology
results in such hatred, anger, and resentment. But what's more, rather than
answer the questions, the Scientologists have attacked me personally,
claiming I'm a pedophile and have had sex with dogs. And this is from
Scientology's representitive spokespeople, no less.
Is there a policy or something that dictates these hate-filled responses that
I've been getting from the Scientologists?
Bunnyann gave this response on 5/4/2000:
Hubbard totally believe in turning the attack back on the critic. He
belived you never defended, rather you looked for the person's crimes.
Considering the recent attacks upon the Toronto area critics, the crime is
being a thinking human being who dares to question the cult.
In the Volunteer Minister's Handbook,Hubbard said "Chaos Merchants"
(SPs) include "politicians, the policeman, the newspaperman and the
undertaker." When one looks upon the world in such a negative fashion,
its a natural leap to conclude that any critical commentary is
"manufactured."
Oddly, as you have pointed out, the manufactured evidence always
comes from the cult. First, a critic is violating their agreement with reality.
You are critical of their beliefs, and their belief is source.
Reality is one of their components of understanding, and their reality is
source. Source is all they now understand. They have been indoctrinated
by the cult. You are the lowest of the lowest, an SP wog.
Even in their current publication of "What Is Scientology?" they villify all
who question the cult. The publishers discuss the IRS, of course those
awful psychs, and finally the critics on the Internet. The writers of this
text complain about the international conspiracy to "stop scientology."
Unfortunately, that is not true. I wish it were, as I truly believe the world
would be a better place without the current cult management and its
practices.
As to individual scientologists and their attacks on critics, I can only think
of the words of Jesus Christ: "Father forgive them, for they know not
what they do."
And the truth is they no longer do. These cult members have accepted
the reality of source, which must never be questioned, but was himself
questionable. The morals of society the individuals once accepted, they
no longer understand. These cult members only know how to attack
those who dare to question, to defy the beliefs and strictures of the cult.
These people no longer understand that it is not a crime to doubt.

"Chaos Merchants?" I've never heard of that. Thanks for the reference; I'll
do some AltaVista searches on this term. And I really should get their
publication "what is Scientology" to see what they tell their followers.
But the fact is that all I was doing was knowingly asking them questions they
could not answer honestly. That alone seems to drive them to apply these
insane policies of their dead messiah's.
You're right. They don't seem to be trained on how to address embarrassing
questions.
