Notice: Fredric Rice may have removed segments of the replies given to
questions if they contained copyrighted materials. After a very short
while, Scientology "experts" refused to answer questions and
started cut-and-pasting copyrighted cult propaganda. Additionally I
removed URLs in some of the replies, and left them in others. And it's
also important to note that eventually the unfortunate "Greg
Churilov" cultist was ejected from
askme.com for his typical Scientological behavior.

barb131 gave this response on 5/4/2000:
I'd be delighted to help.
In his book, History of Man, L. Ron Hubbard wrote a masterful treatise
based on nothing but his own ignorance of the natural world. In fact, the
only place I'd like to see Hubbard material in schools is biology classes,
as a good example of totally misunderstanding nature.
Hubbard said that, way back, man evolved into clams. These clams were
in turmoil, they had muscles which opened and closed their shells,
causing confusion. Sometimes you'd open your shell to breathe, and get
a facefull of sea water. The muscles controlling your shell evolved into
your jaw.
Are you laughing yet?
Moreover, because of the conflict, Hubbard says that if you snap your
thumb and forefinger together, it will restimulate the old Boohoo engram
and cause a person's jaw to lock up. I've tried this on scientologists.
It's hard to tell, they usually seem to have clenched jaws or a cigarette
stuffed in their face. But so far, it doesn't seem to work.
So, the Boohoo wallowed weeping in the surf, getting whacked by salt
water while trying to gulp air, and reproducing by spores.
Hubbard was an ignoramus with cocaine and a typewriter. The Boohoo is
part of the legacy he left, along with the willingly impaired body of
followers who yet hang on his every word as genius.
