Notice: Fredric Rice may have removed segments of the replies given to
questions if they contained copyrighted materials. After a very short
while, Scientology "experts" refused to answer questions and
started cut-and-pasting copyrighted cult propaganda. Additionally I
removed URLs in some of the replies, and left them in others. And it's
also important to note that eventually the unfortunate "Greg
Churilov" cultist was ejected from
askme.com for his typical Scientological behavior.
Subject: My jaws hurt
FredricRice asked this question on 5/5/2000:
My jaws hurt every time someone says the word "snap." I was told that
Scientology could help me with this problem.
Is this true?
Thanks.
lutefisk gave this response on 5/6/2000:
No. L. Ron Hubbard claimed that people were descended from
primordial clams and that present-day physical problems were caused
by traumas inflicted on the ancestral clams. Miming the opening and
closing of a clam shell supposedly "restimulates" these traumas and
causes physical discomfort. Needless to say, there is no scientific
corroboration of this and in fact no reliable evidence that Scientology
helps with *any* physical problems.
