Notice: Fredric Rice may have removed segments of the replies given to
questions if they contained copyrighted materials. After a very short
while, Scientology "experts" refused to answer questions and
started cut-and-pasting copyrighted cult propaganda. Additionally I
removed URLs in some of the replies, and left them in others. And it's
also important to note that eventually the unfortunate "Greg
Churilov" cultist was ejected from
askme.com for his typical Scientological behavior.
Subject: Question regarding LRH
Anonymous asked this question on5/8/2000:
I've always wondered why Hubbard wasn't in better health given his ablility
to "purely" apply scientology/dianetics. Can anyone explain why he died
at an average age and in such poor health with rotting out teeth?
Also, do Scientologists believe that Hubbard has picked up a new meat
body yet? Is David Miscavige head of the RTC for life? Is he accountable
to the parishoners in any form? What is done to insure that
statistics taken are meaningful? Thanks in advance for answering my questions.
Bunnyann gave this response on 5/8/2000:
Hubbard was not in the best of health, which scientology was unable to
cure, which despite promises, it is unable to perform such miracles.
While we all have the mental ability to make ourselves sick, it is
simply a fact that our bodies are subject to illness and accidents.
Coupled with the fact that Hubbard's health habits were questionable
at best, it is little wonder he died when he did.
And as to Hubbard's teeth, I agree, they were hideous. One would
have thought with all the money he earned he would have sought
professional dental assistance. I know scientologists who have utilized
dental services with splendid results.
As to why Hubbard could not apply the tech, it is simply this, what he
promised he was unable to deliver. Even the disclaimer on the
e-meter is testimony to that. Bodies become ill and requie medical
attention. However, source (Hubbard) knew it all, or so he thought,
and wanted his followers to believe.
Scientologists believe that Hubbard dropped the body in order to
pursue the next level. I know members who believe he will return as
the next meshiah.
As to Miscavige, I frankly do not see anyone as being able to seize
the reigns of power from him. Scientology does not see the cult as
being accountable to the parishioners. Rather, they see the
parishioners as being responsible to the cult. The ethics policies and
knowledge reports alone are a testiment to that belief.
As to the statistics, I understand the most meaningful is paid
completions. However, the most imporant goal for any org, mission,
ihelp member, or fsm is to make money for the org. Make money,
make more money and ksw -- keep scientology working. This simply
means make scientology money.
