Notice: Fredric Rice may have removed segments of the replies given to questions if they contained copyrighted materials. After a very short while, Scientology "experts" refused to answer questions and started cut-and-pasting copyrighted cult propaganda. Additionally I removed URLs in some of the replies, and left them in others. And it's also important to note that eventually the unfortunate "Greg Churilov" cultist was ejected from askme.com for his typical Scientological behavior.

Subject: The new OT levels

FredricRice asked this question on 5/9/2000:

So far I've only read fragments from OT1 through OT8. Supposedly OT9, 10, and 11 are supposed to be released soon.

Does anybody know if they have been or whether fragments have been released into the public domain?

I see that:

OT8 - Truth Revealed
OT9 - Character
OT10 - Operating
OT11 - Future

are scheduled.

We already know some fragments of OT8, of course. The truth is that Hubbard claimed Jesus Christ was a lover of young boys in that document. But what about the other three?

honorarykid gave this response on 5/9/2000:

I know nothing of the OT levels 9,10 or 11.

There was a document that circulated a few years ago that purported to be the OT 8 level docments, called "Truth Revealed."

Some ex-Scientologists posting to alt.religion.scientology thought they remembered these materials, and that they were the genuine article.

The CoS has decried it as a "squirreled" forgery, circulated to impugn its reputation.

It was this material which contained the revelation that Jesus was, in reality, a "lover of young boys" (i.e. a homosexual pedophile). If this document really is the highest Operating Thetan level within the Church of Scientology, then obviously this can only mean that not only is Scientology completely incompatible with Christianity, but that Scientology is totally contemptuous of Christianity and the Divinity of Jesus.

Unfortunately, the CoS keeps all it's upper level documents under lock and key, and are not willing to reveal its contents to the public. So we must decide for ourselves from conflicting claims, who to believe, either those few people who have actually progressed to that level and then quit Scientology, or Scientology itself.

But given that the other OT levels already talk about how our sympathy for the crucified Jesus is simply an alien brainwashing implant, I don't find it hard to imagine that L. Ron Hubbard acutally made this OT 8 claim.

Interesting.

I seem to recall reading something about OT9 being available for sale to people inside of Scientology, but it looks like nobody knows for sure whether they're out yet. And since Hubbard died, it would be David Miscavage coming up with them and, no doubt, claiming Hubbard wrote them before he "dropped the body."

It also looks like you're saying we'll have to wait for an OT8 to leave the organization with copies before we'll know for sure.

Thanks for the answer!
