Notice: Fredric Rice may have removed segments of the replies given to questions if they contained copyrighted materials. After a very short while, Scientology "experts" refused to answer questions and started cut-and-pasting copyrighted cult propaganda. Additionally I removed URLs in some of the replies, and left them in others. And it's also important to note that eventually the unfortunate "Greg Churilov" cultist was ejected from askme.com for his typical Scientological behavior.

FredricRice asked this question on 5/8/2000:

I'm not sure who to ask inside of Scientology and I'm not sure they would give me an answer even if I called upo and asked.

L. Ron Hubbard Jr. was disinherited by his daddy. Was that because he was gay or do you know if there was some other reason?

Thanks.

barb131 gave this response on 5/10/2000:

L. Ron Hubbard Jr. changed his name to Ron DeWolf, his grandpa's name. He is not to be confused with Quentin Hubbard, who was gay.

Quentin Hubbard apparently committed suicide. Ron DeWolf died of cancer, I believe.

Hubbard's life history can be read on the net. http://www.xenu.net Look for Barefaced Messiah, the title of the bio.

You rated this answer a 5.

I got the two mixed up for some reason. Curiously -- and very telling -- the real experts here have offered this correction nicely and pointed me to the right places to look. The unfortunate Scientologists who have answered have been very rude and disrespectful because I made this mistake.

I think that speaks volumes about something.

Further facts about this criminal empire may be found at Operation Clambake and FACTNet.
