Notice: Fredric Rice may have removed segments of the replies given to
questions if they contained copyrighted materials. After a very short
while, Scientology "experts" refused to answer questions and
started cut-and-pasting copyrighted cult propaganda. Additionally I
removed URLs in some of the replies, and left them in others. And it's
also important to note that eventually the unfortunate "Greg
Churilov" cultist was ejected from
askme.com for his typical Scientological behavior.

Desertphile, why do you object to this quote:
"Never fear to hurt another in a just cause." -- L. Ron Hubbard, "Creation
of Human Ability (Code of Honor)"
while it is blatantly obvious that you are here to hurt the Church of
Scientology in what you consider a worthwhile cause?
A Scientologist.
PS: If a gang mamber was about to rape your daughter, would you stand
idly by in the name of pacifism, or would you "hurt another in a just
cause"?
Desertphile gave this response on 5/10/2000:
Hi.
You have again dubbed into my comm that which was not there. I am
not here to "hurt the Church of Scientology." I am here to expose its
crimes, lies, and gross human rights abuses. THE VERY DAY IT CEASES
SUCH THINGS IS THE VERY DAY I WILL CEASE CRITICIZING IT. If it
acted like a church, the world would not be objecting to it.
Now to answer your question, re the word "Just."
Hubbard's "just cause" was not "just." It was evil. Mankind has never
enbrased evil so eagerly as when they believed they were fighting for
a "just cause." Look up Nazi Germany for one example. Look up the
Crusades for another. Now look up the Burning Times (the
Inquistions). Then consider Bonaparte and his conquest of Europe, the
intended invasion of Ireland to "liberate" it, and his plans on invading
England. ALL WERE CONSIDERED "JUST CAUSES."
Do you remember George Bush's "Operation Just Cause?" Thousands
of people dead because their leaders threatened American economic
expansion.
The madman Hubbard had the same ideas about the word "just."
Consider the RPF's RPF.
When Elaine Wright told Hubbard she was going to kill herself, was he
being "just" when he told her to go kill herself elsewhere and not on
his property?
Now on to the word "harm."
One should ALWAYS fear to hurt others, even in just causes! The
possiblility of excess is just far too great. The least force required
must be applied.
Many causes are work being harmed and causing harm. Police officers
are still heroes in my book. What seperates them from the
pathological liar Hubbard is that police officers use harm as the last
resort, and they are TRAINED to know when and how to use force when
needed and not needed. Note that justice is not their venue: keeping
the peace is. Justice is not the venue of law and order: it is the venue
of judges and legislatures.
Finally, to address why I object to "Hubbard's quote."
I object to -HIM- stating it, for the reasons above. Justice was alien to
him. He had no concept of justness; no concept of restraint in causing
harm. What "just cause" was served by forging bomb threats in
Paullete Cooper's name? What "just cause" was served by framing the
mayor of Clearwater for homicide? What "just cause" was served when
Lisa McPherson was held against her will and tortured to death for 17
days, and her body left for the bugs to feed off of?
Causing harm in a just cause must be left to those who know where
and when harm is appropreate. Hubbard therefore disqualified
himself. The Church of Scientology therefore disqualifies itself.

No, it didn't.
You are skirting the issue.
It is obvious even to a school child that your actions on this board would
"hurt" scientologists and our religion. Yet in your self-righteousness you
deem that allright.
You are applying a huge double standard.
If it is good enough for you to embrace as a crusade, to "hurt another in
a just cause", then you should not criticize others for same.
Glass houses and stones, man.
