Hidden secrets in the Scientology cult
Question answered by formerscientologist in Scientology
FredricRice asked this question on 7/25/2000:
Again this question is more for Scientologists still stuck inside
of the cult, however I'd like to web everyone's answers.
I'm curious why Scientology's management doesn't tell people
about Xenu and Body Thetans ad everything else that forms
the core of Scientology. I'm curious why the truth about what
Scientology actually is all about had to wait for the court
system to make public.
Thanks!
formerscientologist gave this response on 7/25/2000:
I don't think Xenu and body thetans are the core of
Scientology. I believe Scientology was pretty well
established before Hubbard came out with the Xenu
bullshit.
Much of the basic beliefs in Scientology are pretty sound.
But Scientology just got more and more ludicrous as
Hubbard got more and more insane. Eventually Hubbard (or
somebody)started introducing things into Scientology that
are contrary to the basics.
The Xenu incident is still confidential to the Scientologists
in the church. I know that most Scientologists will believe
that the confidential material is true and that the public
isn't ready for it. I can only speculate that the
management has mixed motives. Certainly, unleashing the
Xenu story to an unaccepting public would reduce their
profits.
