Tory escaping from the Scientology cult

I'm asking everyone and hopefully at least a few opinions will
come back. I'll want to web people's answers, by the way.
I'm curious: Tory has stated that she has -- after some 30
years of being trapped in the Scientology cult -- has
escaped. I'm curious about whether people believe her or
think that's a GO/OSA "op" out to destroy the Lisa McPherson
Trust in the same way that the crooks destroyed the Cult
Awareness Network.
Thanks!
Irmgard gave this response on 7/26/2000:
I am a convinced and honest ex-Scientologist and Sea Org
member myself, so I know firsthand that such people do
exist.
On the other hand, there are also proven cases of "ops"
from Scientology.
In the case of Tory I cannot tell, but I'd advise the Lisa
McPherson Trust to be careful. Help escapees, yes - but
don't give them your cash box or your personal biography
details in the first week.

I think your ideas about this subject is pretty much shared
by everyone so far. There's a general concensus that the
best idea is to take care yet still keep one's arms and mind
open.
I had thought I would see some strong bifurcation on this with
"She's clean" on one side and "She's an OSA plant!" on the
other. Instead I'm seeing opinions like yours: A middle ground.
Hell, I think the ARSCC (wdne) has matured.
