Scientology friends

formerscientologist asked this question on 7/8/2000:
That's sad. Are you still friends with the Scientologists? Did
some of them say things that weren't really real to you?
bunnyann gave this response on 7/8/2000:
Unfortunately, we are no longer in comm with one another.
Scn has a wonderful habit of separating those who care
about one another. As you are well aware, that no
enturbulation policy exists. Those who remain in and active
are concerned about ethics handlings. I have been told by
OSA that I betrayed my friends. Odd, I never thought that
having doubt and asking questions was betrayal. However,
in scn, it is.
What is unreal to me. Scn management practices and
behavior is unreal to me. Stops are being put in place to
keep knowledge of the truth about scn from the members,
especially paying members. You and I both know that once
in Scn, they treat you differently. Your "eternity" becomes
threatened. You truly believe that if the "bridge" is taken
away from you, you are doomed. Fortunately, I never
bought into that belief. However, for those who do, and
they are the true belivers, the threat is real.
I thought I knew the meaning of those who are truly blind
are the ones who refuse to see. However, I saw it up close
and personal in scn. And I have found there are no OTs out
there. It is a myth...at least not in scn. What I did find,
was the amazing inability of those with "super powers" to
be unable to confront reality.
