The Hidden Secrets of the Scientology Cult
Question answered by escapee in Scientology
FredricRice asked this question on 7/25/2000:
Again this question is more for Scientologists still stuck inside
of the cult, however I'd like to web everyone's answers.
I'm curious why Scientology's management doesn't tell people
about Xenu and Body Thetans ad everything else that forms
the core of Scientology. I'm curious why the truth about what
Scientology actually is all about had to wait for the court
system to make public.
Thanks!
escapee gave this response on 7/26/2000:
Xenu and Body Thetans are not the core of Scientology. It
is only one small part of the technology.
Man as a composite being is certainly something that is
well promoted. Exactly what that composite consists of
has to do with the awareness level of the person.
At OT VIII and above the awareness of the composite
might not have anything to do with Xenu or body
thetans...it might very well be thought forms.
To new people, the very idea of body thetans would be
unreal and probably unacceptable, except for a few who
have studied semi-related spiritual practices, could turn
them off to Scientology if they thought that was what it
was about, and thus miss the opportunity of raising
awareness.
The above is the truth. Added to that there are
considerations that harm could come to those reading the
materials of OT III if they able to be aware of the
composite and did not have the tools with which to handle
the new-found reality. Then, of course, there is the
matter of survival for the C.O.S. The secrecy and mystery
surrounding the materials certainly keeps those in the
Church on lines. Motives? To make a better game
(all fun games have a touch of secrecy-even football)
and, of course, to keep the finances rolling in.:)
