The arival of Ursula in Clearwater
Question answered by Phobos1 in Scientology
FredricRice asked this question on 7/25/2000:
I got to watch Ursula C. arive in Clearwater, Florida, to give a
presentation on the Scientology cult. (The video can be
viewed at http://www.xenutv.com/trust/arrival.ram or
http://www.xenutv.com/trust/dslarrival.ram by the way, and
.rm versions of those are available for download.)
The behavior of the cult followers is _extremely_ insane and
I'm curious what experts on Scientology has to say about
whether these people were insane going in or whether it
happend to them while they were inside.
And if I may, I'd like to web your answers.
Thanks!
Phobos1 gave this response on 7/27/2000:
I haven't watched the videos in question, but I expect it's
very difficult to say whether the cultists' behaviour is
solely a product of their experiences in Scientology or not.
There are, after all, a fair number of wackos whose
behaviour is just as nutty without any help from L. Ron,
but I also think it's quite likely that Scientology plays an
active role in promoting and reinforcing paranoia and
hostility.

Thanks. I guess the only way totell is to wait for the
individuals to escape and then ask them after they've had
time to rebuild their lives.
