What then?
Question answered by formerscientologist in Scientology
Xenos_Kraikos asked this question on 8/17/2000:
So if you aren't a scientologist anymore. What are you?
formerscientologist gave this response on 8/17/2000:
I have developed my own set of beliefs. We had set up a
small ministry, but I am undecided as to whether I should
keep the ministry or disband it.
My beliefs are this:
We are all part of a whole, and the whole is God.
I like to use the following analogies:
God is like a great ocean of consciousness and we are but
individual droplets. We can remain as individual droplets or
we can blend in with the great ocean.
Every cell in our body is a separate living entity, yet every
cell is part of a larger entity. Likewise, every spirit is an
individual, but every spirit is part of a greater spirit.
Sin is like cancer. If done in secret, it is like a cyst. If done
openly, it is cancer.
Every sin is an act against God. Every good deed is an act
on the behalf of God. Sin requires denial of God. Good
deeds require acceptance of God even if a person considers
himself to be an atheist. Sin destroys one's faith and good
deeds build a person's faith.
I could ramble on and on. I should organize my thoughts
someday and put it all in writing. Feel free to debate or ask
questions.
