Opinion on mentioning Xenu on the protest lines
Question answered by Desertphile in Scientology

I'm interested in people's opinions on whether mentioning Lord
Xenu while on the protest lines is a good idea or a bad idea.
People picketing the cult have different motives but there does
seem to be a desire to help people inside get out. Mentioning
Xenu -- the contents of OT3 -- could help them or further
entrench follower's committment to the cult.
I'm curious whether people think it's a good idea or a bad idea.

Howdy.
The answer to your question depends upon the goals and
motivations for each individual picketer. If one is picketing
because of Scientology's crimes, than Xen u has little or
nothing to do with the picket. If one is picketing because
Scientology lies to its victims, then of course Xenu has
everything to do with the picket.
When Mark Bunker started talking about Lord Xenu, at least
one Scientologist put his finger in his ear, ostensibly to keep
from hearing about Lord Xenu.
If you ask if that was a good thing or bad, well, I think it
was "good." Scientology Inc claims that it welcomes free
speach and allows its victims to "think for yourself." And yet
here we have a Scientologist trying very hard to not listen
to the truth. That behavior is diametrically opposite the PR
claims.
I'm all for telling Scientologuists about their core beliefs --- it
will save them hundreds of thousands of dollars. I'd hope
they woukld do the same for me.
