Libelling my father?
Question answered by honorarykid in Scientology
remiel asked this question on 10/7/2000:
Deomorto put this list of questions to i am the law:
a) Scientology leaders were sent to jail in the USA for
infiltrating and stealing documents from the United States
Government - true or false?
b) The Church of Scientology as an organization was found
guilty of crminal libel in Canada? True or False?
c) the Church of Scientology in England was found to be liable
for libel for spreading false and malicious information about an
individual? True or False?
d) Several scientologists were sentenced to jail terms (some
suspended) for invluntary manslaughter in France? true or
False?
e) Hubbard lied about his war service record? True or False?
I Am The Law quibbled about the first point (apparently if
something happened sixteen years ago then it doesn't count
any more), and then said
'Yeah, the rest of it would probably fit your father or the
government or something.'
so here's an open question:
Has anyone's father here been convicted of libel, manslaughter
or spreading false and malicious information?
Has anyone's father lied about their war record?
Or is this just a rather pathetic attempt to say 'yeah yeah,
everyone does that' about very serious charges? If so, did it
fool anyone?

It's ironic, isn't it, that one of the Church of Scientology's
marketing promises is that it makes the able more able.
At some point, I hope Mr. Rogers and I_Am_The_Law gain
enough strength and wisdom to confront the truth about
their church. No doubt that this will be painful thing for them
to do, but quite frankly, I don't think either of them (if
indeed, there are two different people, we could very well
be seeing just one individual assuming two different
pseudonymous identities) are going to get much spiritual
improvement until they work through some of that pain.
Until that day, their conditioned, knee-jerk aggression will
serve as excellent indicators of the *real* results that the
Church of Scientology produces.
