Protest!

Picket Report, Mesa AZ 06/09/01
09 Jun 2001
bk-pettycrew@home.com (Bruce Pettycrew)

It has been unseasonably warm (even for Phoenix) the last couple of weeks, and often windy. Today will reach 110, but this AM was cool and calm enough for a picket.

We arrived at 8:30 before the org was open, no cars in the lot. By 9:15 when we left, there were 7 cars and 9 people; One person was dropped off, and of the other vehicles, only a white van (that reminded me of Hemet or Clearwater) had 2 people. Grow, Co$, Grow.

The traffic was fairly heavy but , with everyone now behind tinted glass windows with the air conditioning on, there were fewer responses observed.

There were a number of pedestrians, most hurrying for a nearby bus stop, but we gave out 3 leaflets (2 Xenu and 1 LMT) and talked to two people about why we were there.

Picket early and often,
