America's Queen of Hate

The sinister inspiration behind the Oklahoma City bombing is a well-
to-do suburban lawyer and mother of three teenagers, say authorities
who call her the "Queen of Hate."

Linda Thompson, 45, was questioned by the FBI after the bombing about
her possible influence on suspect Timothy McVeigh. And in an exclusive
ENQUIRER interview she bragged: "The FBI told me that Timothy McVeigh
reveres me."

Thompson is Acting Adjutant General of a group called the Unor-
ganized Militia of the United States. She says her followers - which
she puts at three million - are preparing for an "inevitable" future
war against the government.

Dressed in fatigues and carrying an M-16 rifle, the stocky, self-
styled patriot led militia members to Waco, Tex., in 1993 to show sup-
port for David Koresh during his standoff with federal officers.

She sells a $90 videotape, called "Waco: The Big Lie," which claims
that the government deliberately set the fire that killed Koresh and
his followers. When Thompson approached The ENQUIRER last year with
the video, we asked independent experts to review it and they con-
cluded her claims were nonsense.

But the tape continues to sell - and Thompson continues to spew
antigovernment hatred over shortwave radio and in fiery speeches to
groups like the ones McVeigh has been linked to.

"There is no suggestion that Thompson was involved in the bombing. But
many authorities believe that the hate she fosters in her speeches, on
the airwaves and over computer lines has helped create the climate
in which the bombing became thinkable," said a law enforcement
insider.

And a source close to the Oklahoma City investigation told The
ENQUIRER: "We know that McVeigh sees Thompson as a guiding light and a
'mother' of the militia movement. But what she is, is the 'Queen of
Hate.'"

Each day Thompson leaves her home in Greenwood, Ind., where she lives
with her husband Al and three teenage children, and drives to a
storefront law office in suburban Indianapolis.

The window of the office is decorated with a poster showing Adolf
Hitler, right hand raised with the slogan, "Everyone in favor of gun
control raise your right hand."

While being interviewed at her office, she admitted: "I always carry
a gun."

And incredibly, she charged that federal agents blew up the Oklahoma
City Federal Building - hoping militia groups would be blamed.

"The bombing was the work of the government, just as Waco was", she
declared. "They've killed babies again."

Thompson claims the bombing was done to justify a crackdown against
militia groups.

And she compared that alleged action to the Nazis setting fire to the
Reichstag, the German parliament, in 1933 as an excuse to suspend
civil rights.

"When I heard about the bombing I was outraged, shocked - but it
wasn't entirely unexpected." she told The ENQUIRER. We've been
expecting a Reichstag-type incident by the government."

She also disclosed that when the FBI visited her after the bombing,
they asked her about the possibility McVeigh was influenced by her
Waco tape.

"The FBI threatened me with that scenario," she said. "They'd love to
blame the tape so they could restrict truth in this country.

"My tape is the truth. None of this would have happened if the
government hadn't murdered 96 people in Waco."

Shockingly, Thompson has kept a detailed record of the movements of
federal agents who were involved in the standoff at Waco and she has
passed along this information to antigovernment groups.

The Oklahoma City building that was bombed was the headquarters of
some of the agents who took part in the assault on Koresh's compound
at Waco.

"Thompson has time and time again made every lunatic with a grudge
aware of the names and current locations of these federal agents,"
said another law enforcement insider.

"She is truly the inspiration behind McVeigh and others to go on and
commit such heinous crimes as the Oklahoma City bombing."
